Experimental news beat is hopelessly syncopated

Ok. I haven't posted in more than a week. The problem is that I keep writing stuff and I don't like how it turns out, so I delete it and start over. I'm sure I'll manage a 'real' post pretty soon here, but in the meantime, please be amused with these items:

1. Page 27's gig binge: Rasmussen of Denver's inimitable experimental-noise act Page 27 has been blogging about the band's recent slew of live sets.

2. This item on JSTOR seems like it might be worth reading. Unfortunately, I do not have a JSTOR account. If you are able to obtain a copy of this article, please email me immediately.

3. Stomoxine Records has something new. It's "Entrance Room" by Jean De Lacoste. Get the ogg zip or the mp3 zip. I haven't listened to it yet, but I'd be more than happy to post your reviews here. Send 'em along, 5 words or 5 thousand.

4. Hollow Tree Sidestream. View our "shared items" via Google Reader. Constantly updated mixture of experimental music news and overlooked current events.

This post was written in less than 20 minutes before dashing out the front door to go to work.
